Mmmmh I wonder about the meaning. Apple symbolism, Adam and Eve? But also geographical maps all the way? The origin of the world both hystorically and religiously?
Or am I reading too much in this nice picture? -- "I think it's coming out with its own console, the next metal gear will be a system that goes online trying to launch nukes and YOU have to stop them." - some internet guy I like the contrast of the background and the white boy in shorts, the map is so barroque and he is the contrary, also his pose reminds me of this young boys in the XViii century, but with a much modern look. The apple eventhough not intended, has a resonance with his socks, some sort of fairy tale costume, or I dunno why I think of Hansel or little redhood.
-- *Divadlo brilliant shot.. loving the colours, the feel.
-- "I trusted my Venus was untouched in her shell, but the pearls in her oyster were tacky as hell" - Peter Gabriel on his Venus The combined complexity and simplicity of this photograph are amazing.
It has so much going on in it: the teacher, the map on the wall, the student - both distracted and as the main focus; it feels as though it should be too busy to be a good quality photograph, but the frame, the slightly-out-of-focus background, and the colours (that would normally only make a photo like this overly complicated) seem to make it calm and pleasant, which in turn make this a masterpiece. I love this. |
